Ending Revision to "Tuesdays at the Castle"

     Celie heard someone screaming, vaguely recognizing that it was her. She had never realized that Rolf's dare would come true. Suddenly she jerked to a stop. The emissary had managed to recover enough to grab her hair. Fire spread across Celie's scalp. She couldn't scream anymore despite the pain. She hung helplessly. Then out of nowhere a great blast of purple came shooting at the emissary. He disappeared with a puff. Celie realized that it was Bran. She dropped, then landed on soft stones and slid. She looked up. She had landed a few feet from her family. Then everything went black.
     The sobbing was what woke Celie up. She was in her bed. Her father was talking with the other royals. Her mother and Lilah was by her bed. Her mother was holding her hand rather tightly. Lilah was the one sobbing. "Li-Lilah." Celie's voice was rather raspy. Lilah gasped. "I am so sorry Celie, I should have stopped you." Celie's gaze had moved on. She smiled at her Mother. King Glower came over. "Hello, Celia-Delia." He sang. "Daddy. What happened?" Her voice was scratched. "We had to hide. I am sorry we didn't come back sooner. We were risking coming back when Pogue found us. We nearly declared war on Vhervhine. But I managed to be persuaded." He said with a crooked smile. "Thank you for taking care of everything here while we were gone." Rolf grunted. Celie felt so tired.
     "I think that we need to let Celie rest." Bran came over and adjusted her pillows. He ducked down and gave her a kiss on her forehead followed by the rest of her family. Once they were gone, Celie reached out. her fingers brushed the warm stones of the wall. "I am so glad your back. Your my family too." In response, a warm ripple ran across the stones. Celie felt like it was saying, "I won't leave again. I will always stay."

Top Ten Things About Mrs.Robins' Class

     First off i want to start off saying that you will love Mrs.Robins, she is one of the nicest teachers. And was by far my favorite teacher. I really loved her class because it was fun, and filled with a lot of jokes.
     1. The learning environment was amazing. If you didn't know or understand something she would help you and make sure you knew how to do it.
     2. She won't give bad consequences if you are good in her class. She gives out candy, Robins' rewards (you will learn about those later) Gecko Cards, and many other things that you can earn with Gecko Cards.
4.ALL THE BOOKS!! Her class room is filled with good books to read, and many many different genres to read for the iRead 40 Club. Also the iRead 40 club party is really fun, you won't want to miss out on it next year, because it is amazing.
     5. She makes writing essays fun! Like with argumentative essays you'll get to write about super heroes! And she'll help you with theses, and make them da bomb for Sage Testing.
     6. The class parties she has are pretty great. Like reading challenges she will bring something in for the people that do them. And After sage party if you meet the goal you set you'll get a candy bar. And after sage is completely done everyone will get to go to her Waffle Party!
     7. The work she gives out isn't that hard, and it is fun to do! She will hardly give out homework, and you get to have fun doing writing contests, blog posts, and making the school news paper.
     8. You get to write the school news paper! The school news paper is really fun to do, and Mrs.Robins puts you in the best groups!
     9. Reading novels as a class, and getting to watch the movies if they have them.
    10. Last, but not least about Mrs Robins class was the she is such a great teacher. She is so kind, and funny, and one of the best teachers around. You will LOVE her this year and are really lucky to have her as a teacher.

Throughout the past year I've learned a few things about honors language arts. Here's a top 10 list of what you need to know.

1.Never ever procrastinate. If you slack and don't do your work you will regret it, you will find yourself falling behind the rest of the class and possibly in lunch detention.
2. Read your books! If you read your books you might go to a special party that you might have heard being announced when you were in 6th grade. You will get out of class and go someplace to celebrate passing off a total of 40 books.
3. Participate in class activities. some of the class activities are really fun. You will get to play games and other things that are fun. its fun to participate.
4. Some assignments will be hard. Don't give up on them because you will regret it later. If you try your best you will get a good score.
5. You will do writing contests and you will be able to write on this blog. Be creative and follow the rules closely on the writing contests and you might win. Give evidence for your reasoning. You will write on this  blog so have fun with it.
6. You will get parties if your class does the best so always do your best. You'll be glad you did your best once you are snacking on a doughnut.
7. Study hard, you'll be super happy once you get a good test score on the SAGE test.
8. Get good grades so you can go to the 7th grade party. It'll be lots of fun.
9.You will be able to watch movies. Sometimes after reading a class book you will be able to watch movies. Its interesting to see the differences between the book and the movie.
10. Most of all have fun in 7th grade!

The Top Ten Things About Mrs. Robin's Class, Hadley Arnold P.6

1. Mrs. Robins. She is without a doubt the most incredible teacher I’ve ever had. She is encouraging, helpful, kind, and hilarious. Yet, she won’t be afraid to get on top of you for not getting work done. She also never fails to show how proud she is when you do well. Overall, she is an amazing teacher.
2. iRead Program. Although it requires some effort, it is definitely worth it. The program allows you to expand your reading skills. Because I was required to read different genres I was able to find new books that I really enjoyed. Also, you don’t want to miss out on the iRead party at the end of the year. Honestly, just the feeling of completing the program and the praise you get for it makes all worth it.
3. Blog Posts. The blog post that is due at the end of each month improves your writing immensely. Mrs. Robins always makes the blog posts on a subject that is fun and easy to write about. Peer comments are very helpful and made me a better writer.
4. Writing Contests. Writing contests are usually on a simple subject and even fun to write. When you write one for Scope Magazine, you will win a prize and Scholastic writes you a letter complimenting you on your writing. If you try your best, you have a much higher chance of winning. I won one this year, and it was definitely worth the work.
5. Class activities. Sometimes in class, Mrs. Robins had incredibly fun lesson plans. One time, we went outside and had a race to practice ACES and OREO foldables.That’s just an example of the many other classes we spent having fun while still learning. As long as you always have a positive attitude, you’re insured to have fun in class.
6. College Field Trip. We went on a field trip to the college. It was so much fun. We took a tour and got to sign a book that is part of the cloud in the library. We learned all about the college and where to find sources, plus it was nice to get out of school. There were also some super cute guys! Haha!
7. Class reading. This was a very fun part of class. We read Wednesday Wars, A Long Walk To Water, and The Giver. All were amazing books, and it was fun to discuss them with the class.
8. Teams and Team Flags. All of the tables I sat on were full of great students and were easy to work with. It was also very fun to make team names and the posters.
9. Essays. Although it may not sound fun, they really were. Mrs. Robins gave us interesting things to write about and I think I became a much better writer because of it. She also had contests to see which period would have the most turned in on time. If you won, you got to have some sort of party/treat.
10. Movies. After we read A Long Walk To Water we compared it to the movie The Good Lie. We also watched The Avengers after we finished our Superheo essay. After reading The Giver, we also watched that movie. Watching the movies and comparing them to the books was very enjoyable.

In conclusion, this year will be amazing. Remember to keep on top of your work and always put in your best effort! Be kind to your classmates and have a positive attitude. Good luck, have a great year!

Top Ten Things (what you need to know about Language Arts)

Before reading this list it is important that you know how fun the next year will be, while arduous at times, Mrs. Robin’s is a great and teacher and is one of the very best so consider yourself lucky.

1. Keep a good attitude. Regardless of your writing capabilities, with a good attitude every challenge will seem a little less daunting and this class will become funner.

2. Work hard. With a good work ethic and a determined mindset anything is achievable, don’t forget that.

3. The key to success is to not procrastinate. At times I waited until the day an assignment is due, while for the month that I was blowing the assignment off I was happy, when it was due I was extremely stressed and always realized it wasn’t worth it.

4. Be prepared, I personally am not a great example of this, having to often ask a friend for a pencil. However, despite me being bad at it, you can be good at it so remember your stuff.

5. There will be lots of drama, I mean it’s 7th grade for crying out loud. Nonetheless don’t take part in it and if you do then just know that further down the road it will all seem meaningless.

6. Stay on task. This is similar to the “Do Not Procrastinate” thing but what the heck, it’s still important. In class it’s easy to get caught up in some game, in my case Slither.io or Agar.io. It’s important while on computers to do your work and not waste time. Time is precious and should be used wisely in class so that you have little or no homework; in my case I usually worked diligently and almost never had homework.

7. Don’t judge others, there will always be others who are different. Keep an open mind and treat them fairly and justly.

8. Don’t be rude to your classmates and try to ignore the impulses that tell you to be a pain in the butt for teachers and fellow students.

9. The year that ensues will be great and jam packed with fun.

10. I’m really running out of things to say now other than good luck, your time at Lava Ridge will be great.

How to brave the dangers of Honors Language Arts

1. Some of the things that you need to know to brave the dangers of Honors language arts is, always be ready to learn and be happy. Always express appreciation for all that your teacher does for you. No matter what you may be doing, your teacher spent time on that, and that assignment is your grade, so you better do it well.
2. Another thing that you will need is to always need to know is that although sometimes it may be hard, and the assignments may be tough, continue on, for the rewards are fabulous! And it is also rewarding to see yourself become a better writer, and see the benefits of what you have learned.
3. Third, is you should always turn your work in on time or a soon as possible, this is also brings you rewards as well for it takes the stress off your shoulders.
4. Also, always pay attention, this will help you know what is going on in class, and will help you stay caught up, and may help you with a potentially hard assignment. Always paying attention will help you keep that A on your grade.
5. Fifth Never procrastinate. This will is something that I dislike about myself, and Trust me, you don’t want to get into the habit of procrastinating.
6. Sixth. Always be polite, in all that you do, this shows that you care about the way that you treat others, and this will also prompt others to treat you with the respect that you deserve.
7. Missing work, and absences. When you may be absent, and when you look on your grade, and you find that you are missing some work, always quickly do that assignment, for you may lose points for being late, and when you quickly get this done, you’ll find that you will not have as much stress or pressure looming over you.
8. Helping others. Always be willing to help others, not cheating, but if they have a question on how to do a small task that will help them on an assignment. This will help you if you will ever need help in a tight spot, for other people will be willing to help you when you have helped them in the past.
9. Read all the way to the iread 40 club! This will be extremely rewarding at the end of the year, and you’ll feel extremely disappointed otherwise. Read all your genres. Trust me, I know.
10. Another thing that will make you feel more comfortable, is that you are in a room full of people that are just as smart as you are, this will give you a extremely stimulation conversation. This will also help you do better on assignments, for if you are working as a team, you may get an idea from something one of your team members have done.

This are some of the things that you may need to brave the dangers and stormy seas of Honors language arts. Until you realize that honors language arts is very fun with Mrs. Robins as a teacher.

How to Succeed in Language Arts

1. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE.  That is probably the worst thing you could do.  If you don’t procrastinate, you’ll get everything done early, then it will be on time and off your mind.

2. Pay attention.  If you pay attention, you’ll understand everything that you need to and do well on all of your assignments.

3. Ask Questions.  When you don’t understand something that you’re learning in class, there’s no better way than to ask a friend in class or Mrs. Robins.  Even if you think you understand it most of the way, you can still ask a question to get some extra information on your assignments.

4. Stay Organized.  If your journal and all other supplies you use for school are organized, you will be able to find them quickly and keep track of them.  You’ll be able to keep your grades up if you don’t lose your papers.

5. Keep Track of Dates.  You’ll always need to know when papers are due.  If you know when to turn them in, you can get them in early and not have to make up assignments after the due date.

6. Keep Up Attendance.  You need to be at school in order to learn.  You won’t need to do as much homework, and you’ll always understand the things you learn in class.

7. Keep Notes.  If you keep plenty of notes in your journal or on extra paper, you have more study materials for big tests, or even just to help remember what you need to do.

8. Put Effort Into Work.  When you put effort into your work at school, you get a good grade.  When you don’t, you get a bad grade.  It’s as simple as that.

9. Answer Questions.  If you know the answer to a question, go ahead and tell it.  You never know who you might help or what conversations you could start to help with learning experiences.

10. Study With Others.  You can study in your groups of friends and answer each other’s questions.  You can get a larger understanding when you work in a group of people who help each other out.

How To Be Great In Mrs. Robins'

  You may be in her Honors class and you may not be. But these top ten things, should be known by anyone going into her class in 7th grade.

1. Never Procrastinate. If you procrastinate in any of her classes, you will wish you didn't. Especially in Honors, with monthly writing contests and blog posts. If you put things off till the last minute, you will REALLY regret it.

2. Never Miss Class. I know I say to never miss class. That's not true. But try to go to school anytime you can. Don't think it's the coolest thing to skip Mrs. Robins' class, because it's not. You will get very behind.  

3. Stay Organized. We're only human. And people can be messy. Make sure you always have all of your assignments for Language Arts organized. It will cause less stress and lead to better grades.

4. Check PowerSchool. Checking PowerSchool at least once a day, will help you in Mrs. Robins' a lot. It will help you to know what you could be missing, what you could make up, and what is coming up next.

5. Read As Often As Possible. If you don't know already then it's best you know now. In Mrs. Robins' class, we have to read 36 books in total and 40 or more to be in the iRead 40 Club. If you aren't in Honors you will have to read 30. So read as many genres and books as possible.

6. Keep An Open Mind. I know, every class has that one big project that can get you stressed. Or just small assignments like blog posts and writing contests that freak you out. But if you calm down, and open your imagination, you will have better luck with these things.

7. Pay Attention.  If you keep your attention up, you will be able to do better no matter what!

8. Stay Calm and Be Yourself. As Judy Garland from Wizard of Oz said, “Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else.” It’s true. When in Mrs. Robins’ class, stay calm and be yourself. You will meet new people and make more friends this way.

9. Always Have Fun. This is probably one of the most important things to do in ANY class. Just chill out, calm down, and have fun… but still work hard and do a good job!

10. Review This List. If you aren’t on best terms with yourself, and need to restart your mindset, just read this and remember all of these things. Have fun and enjoy 7th grade. :)

How to be successful in Honors Language Arts:)

Hey new 7th grader, congrats on getting into Honors Language Arts! It will be so fun! Mrs. Robins is the BEST teacher ever and you will have a blast. Here are the top 10 things you will need to know to succeed in Honors Language Arts…

1. Never Procrastinate! Trust me, it’s easier if you just get it done before it’s due. Just get it done once you get the work! It will make your life a lot easier, plus when Mrs. Robins tells everyone to turn in their work, you don’t have to worry about it or feel guilty.
2. Read, Read, Read! You want to read as much as you can! The IRead party is so much fun and it is so worth it! You also get free candy, who doesn’t like that?
3. Stay Organized! It will help you so much, you will know where everything is and your “School Life” will be a lot easier. And it looks nice:)
4. Enjoy Work. I know it’s hard, not only enjoy homework and work, but get it done. Get into a good habit of getting your work done, set out a time each day to do it. For instance, I do my homework right after dinner.
5. It’s All Worth It! In the end, all of the work that you do will pay off, you get waffles, candy and treats, food, parties, and lots more!
6. Good Attitude! Having a good attitude will make it easier to go through school, so have a smile! Whenever you say,”I really don’t want to do this work” Mrs. Robins is probably thinking,” I really don’t want to hear complaining.” So just be happy:)
7. Reading Log. Whenever you finish reading a book, don’t turn the book in, fill out a section in your reading log! It’s easier to write it real quick instead of turning it in and having to find the book again and trust me, just fill it out when you’re done.
8. Going The Extra Mile! You want good grades don’t you? To get that perfect score, you have to stay on top of your work and get it done. If you need more points because you failed a test in Language Arts, ALWAYS ask if there is extra credit! Keeping your grades up means, taking time out of your day to keep your grades looking great!
9. Class Reading. Throughout the school year, you will probably read 1 or 2 books together as a class. The first book we read didn’t have a movie to it...but we got cream puffs! The second book we read did have a movie, so we got to watch that! Not only did we get food and watched movies, reading it together was really fun.
10. Lessons! Mrs.Robins superpower is making lessons fun. You will most likely do lessons while walking around the school reading QR codes. You might also be learning while slapping a piece of paper on the wall with a fly swatter. It’s so fun!

1. Ask for help! It is ok to ask. If you ask, you will receive the answer that you are looking for, and will understand it more clearly more than anybody else!
2. Bring a sharpened pencil to class every day! By the time you are done with class, it will be needing more sharpening!
3. Read your books! They are the main reason why your grade is that!
4. Turn in your assignments! Life is easier if you don't procrastinate!
5. This class is really fun!!! Enjoy it!
6. Be respectful! You want to have people partner up with you, because then you will have some help.

Ten things you need to know about honors LA

1. If there is absolutely one thing that I cannot stress enough about is procrastinating. If you put of an assignment in English, it will literally be trash. I say this from personal experience. I put of an essay until the very last night, the next day, I had a bad grade. DON’T PROCRASTINATE.
2. One of the very fun things in English is the newspaper. The newspaper is an awesome privilege that only you get to do. You can do whatever you want based on your section. You also get great bragging rights.
3. Another fun thing is the field trip. You travel to the DSU library, which is super awesome. You learn about the history, how to access books, and so much more.
4. Don’t be doing an assignment, and then randomly just give up on it because you want to. It’s not worth it, and it will bring your grade down
5. Get to know people.I have made a multitude of friends that without Honors would have no clue who they were.
6. One of the many things I have learned in this class is how to correctly format an essay. Before I learned this, my papers could be compared to those of a fourth grader.
7. Keep your grade up! If you do not maintain a grade higher than a B-, you’re likely to be removed from honors.
8. Don’t be absent. If you miss a lot of days of school, which personally I have, you miss valuable lessons that cannot be re-taught.
9. Constantly, constantly read. Reading is something that will help you write, which is 70% of what you do in honors.
10. Enjoy the class. If you are stressed and want to out-do everybody, you are going to start disliking the people and class.

Also, if i hear a sliver of something you did or said to Ms.Robins, (insert dramatic music)I will hunt you down.

Good luck 7th Graders! Hope you have a wonderful time in Honors and love it as much as I did! It really was one of my favorite classes and you'll have a lot of fun! I made so many new friends, became a better writer, and learned a lot of useful skills I can use in the future. Yes it's true honors is a lot more work but if you just pay attention and get your work turned in on time, it's easy. Also, when you work hard, you get to have parties such as a waffle party, hot chocolate party, ice cream party, etc. Have fun, work hard and I'll see ya next year!

Honors Language Arts is amazing. It’s hard to say how much fun you are going to have and the awesome experience you will get. This is an amazing class and I promise you will love it. Here is a list of important things to remember throughout your experience.

1.      If you got all of the honors students, I think that the number one thing to remember is to not procrastinate, waiting WILL NOT make it go away*
2.      Language Arts honors is way fun, you are going to love it. One of the many fun things that we can do is the spectrum write which is writing for a newspaper and then being published like a professional-which you are.
3.      Throughout all of my years of schooling I have noticed that listening to directions is a pretty good idea. Yes, I know that you want to say hi to your friend who is walking down the hall, or suddenly your desk becomes a snare drum and your pencil a drum stick and you know just the beat, (yes, I was in 7th grade once and I know how it is). But listen, you will find out that half of communicating is listening.
4.      Two words, reading, writing. Some of you may not like to read and write but here in honors language Arts, you're going to do a lot of it, and it will be fun. So don’t think of this as so much reading and writing but rather as an exciting thing that you will get to do. For example, this year we wrote about superheroes and then we watched avengers after, which was a lot of fun.
5.      Watch your grades, they can drop all of the sudden if your are absent, but you NEED to keep them up. They will affect your GPA and it will determine, at the end of the trimester, whether you stay in honors. This kind-of ties into the procrastination, don’t wait until the end of the trimester to make-up work.
6.      LIST OF DEFINITIONS

             1. An amazing way to get smart and go to fiesta-fun, for free. 2. A challenge given to 7th graders-read forty books in the school year and fill out your bingo card. 3. Pure awesomeness.

7.    Try hard. It is important to give a lot of effort in your assignments. Try harder-better score, better score-higher grades, higher grades- outstanding GPA, and you should try to have an outstanding GPA.
8.     In Language Arts you get a bingo card at the beginning of the year. On each bingo space it has a different genre of book and each time you read one of the genres you get that space signed off, if you get a bingo or blackout you get a reward. Yet another reason this is good, is that you will be able to try different genres that are out of your comfort zone. You may try a book that normally you wouldn’t have read, but now you figured out that you love it.
9.      Don’t talk when you are not supposed to. If you talk too much you might miss directions, but also others who are being good might not be able to hear and therefor they might miss directions. So all in all, don’t talk.
10. RELAX. You are going to have an amazing time this year, it will be soooooooo much fun and you will get a whole lot out of it, believe me, it is lots of fun.

Ten Things I loved about Language Arts with Mrs.Robins

Mrs. Robins’ Honors Language class was so much fun. We did so many fun activities. Some of those include reading a novel with the class, doing fun activities , doing fun projects, and so much more. It has been one of my most favorite classes this year and here is why:

1.I loved having the parties such as donuts, waffles, and movie parties

2.I loved writing on the blog and reading other people’s awesome posts

3.Creating the school newspaper

4.Reading fun books in class and doing activities with them

5.Doing the writing contests every month are super fun

6.Mrs.Robins helped me become a better writer and helped me learn to write A.C.E.S and O.R.E.O. essays and how to plan and lay them out

7.I learned not to procrastinate or else it will hurt your grade and always do your work on time

8.Writing for the spectrum was really fun

9.The I-read 40 club is awesome if you qualify for it

10.My favorite thing about having Honors with Mrs.Robins is because she is the best teacher ever, she is always willing to help you, and she makes you a better student and person! Mrs.Robins is awesome!

10 Things i've learned this year

First off, if you are reading this you are extremely lucky to have such a great teacher like Mrs. Robins. She will make this the best year of your life if you let her. Here are 10 things i’ve learned this year.

1. If you try hard, it will pay off, and if you really want to learn something it will come to you.
2. Do NOT procrastinate.               
3. By the end of this year i’ve loved to read and write
4. The IRead 40 club was excellent and i'm glad i did it.
5. Books can sometimes be better than tv.
