Hi new 7th grader! My name is Kasen, and if you want to do well in Honors Language Arts and the great things about it.

1. Always believe you can
If you believe it, you can do it, whether it be a blog post or a writing contest, or just a hard assignment.
2. Don't procrastinate
Procrastination is a bad habit to get into, and hard to get out of. If you don't procrastinate and do all your work when you get it, you will actually make it easier, so you don't have to make-up assignments or extra writing contests.
3. Waffles!!!!!!
Yep, you read that right. We got a waffle party at the end of SAGE, and you will probably have something similar.
4. Candy, candy, and candy
Mrs. Robins gives out candy if you help her, get a bingo, beat your sage goal, are drawn as the random student, and make it to the I-Read 40 club, speaking of which
5. I-Read 40 club
The I-Read 40 club is easy to get into; all you have to do is read the equivalent of 40 books. Then, you get a big party!
6. It is fun!
Mrs. Robins is a fun teacher, and you will love her class.
7. QR Code assignments
We are always doing fun, QR code assignments, or scavenger hunts, or working in groups with our friends.
8. Newspaper
You now get to write the Gecko Gazette, or change the name from the Gecko Gazette (My idea!) to something else, like the Nugget News (Ask Mrs. Robins, then get ready to laugh out loud)
9. Blog posts
You can write about fun topics on a blog just like this one.
10. Writing contests
You can enter (and win) writing contests for extra credit and for your assignments.
