my favorite thing to do

Do you love to draw? If so this is the essay for you.
I really began to really love drawing in first grade. I just loved the way the pencil glided on the page, like a ski slope and the way the skis glide down the hill. Now I take art more seriously, this last year I entered some of my paintings in the County Fair, and I take art classes too.
some of my favorite things to draw are; Dogs, Cats, stick figures, and stick figure animals. But I can draw anything except for hand turkeys, I could never get the hang of drawing the hand part and they just look lame. I also love to sketch and draw buildings almost everything I see inspires me to draw.
So I’ve already somewhat talked about my art class, but there is so much more to cover. I have a wonderful teacher that teaches me all sorts of tricks and tips. She lets me paint and sketch and sculpt and everything else. I go to art class every Monday after school until approximately four o’clock.

If you absolutely love to draw you should look around and see what inspires you. Now you can go and sketch your dog or cat or whatever you want. Don’t ever think that a drawing is not good,in your eyes it’s bad, but maybe in someone else’s eyes it’s beautiful. Now that you’ve seen my passion go out and find yours.

  1. I love what you wrote it's inspiration. I like it because my favorite to do is draw it's mine to but, i suck at drawing. One thing you could do better is explain why you love drawing so much.

  2. I really loved the begininng and how you described how the pencil glides! Maybe one thing to do different next time is describe better how you got into drawing or why you like it so much. Keep up the great work!

  3. Great start Quin! I like your word choices (like "glides") and that you are talking about art. Now, flesh it out! Make your piece longer, give details and descriptions about your writing and use figurative language to really paint a picture (teacher joke) in your reader's mind. I'm excited to see a revision of this piece. Thanks!
